My name is Greg Isabelli, I live in France and I’m particularly interested in the ways in which digital technology brings people together and empowers them to do things that would be unthinkable without technology.
For 14 years I founded and managed the Board Game Arena website, which is now the world leader in online board games with over 10 million members.
Since last year, I’ve been working full-time on a project aimed at enabling citizens around the world to have a direct say in the political decisions that affect them: Baztille.
Why this site?
To pass on what I’ve learned by creating and growing a company.
Explain the background to the Baztille project, the ideas behind it, how it works and how it will evolve.
What is “Baztille”?
“Within a few years, the way in which citizens participate in decisions that affect them in our democracies will have changed radically.”
It was this conviction that led me to create the Baztille project, a digital tool designed to offer citizens a completely different way of interacting with their elected representatives.
I have no certainty that this project will work: it may not be the right tool, it may not be the right method, it may not be the right time… On the other hand, I am convinced that one or more projects of this type will be the future of our democracies.
So one of the aims of this project (and this site) is to give food for thought and inspire other designers.
Important
The opinions expressed on this site are those of the author and do not commit the Baztille movement.
